This watercolor is part of the series I Walk Searching Within and Around the Divine, Dense, and Living Forest, created in Italy in 2022. Lake Saint Benedict (San Benedetto) is located near the monastery of the same name, close to Subiaco, in the surroundings of Rome.
Visiting the site was part of a research journey through territories where Joseph Anton Koch, an ancestor of the artist, produced paintings in the early nineteenth century.
